CHARLIE MILLER, CGCS
Charlie has been the Superintendent here at The Springhaven Club
since 1996. In 2005 he passed a rigorous exam to become a Certified
Golf Course Superintendent. His career began in 1983 when he took a
summer job at a public course in Girard, Pennsylvania. After receiving
his Associates Degree in Turfgrass Science from Penn State
University, he accepted an internship position at Tanglewood Park in
North Carolina. This career choice has always been easy for Charlie.
Being an outdoor type of person, he quickly discovered his passion
for golf courses management. Charlie has been fortunate enough to
be able to raise his four kids in Wallingford where they have been
active in the community and the school system. Outside of work,
Charlie spends his time helping with the sports programs in the area
as well as assisting with turf management issues for the local sports
organizations.

CEDRIC KARP
In a very similar situation, Cedric came across his career accidentally
while trying to earn extra money during the summer one year. Once he
realized that golf course related work was something that he wanted
to pursue, he went back to college the following semester, changed
his major to Turfgrass Science, and completed a Bachelor's of Science
degree in just three years at Penn State University. He has been
working his way up the ladder for the last ten years with the aspiration
of becoming a golf course superintendent. With the support and
comfort of his wife and two children, Cedric is able to focus equally on
his family as well as his career.

DINA BARTLETT
Dina received her first 2 degrees at the Russian State University
specializing in Agronomy and English. After graduating in 2006, she
became the Assistant Superintendent of a grow in for a 27-hole
international course. In 2007 she was accepted to the Penn State
Turfgrass Management Program and graduated in 2009 with the
highest distinction. Dina's other major project was as the role of
Superintendent overseeing the grow in of the first public course in
Moscow, Russia. After getting married, she and her husband moved
back to the U.S. Dina has recently started a new chapter of her career
at The Springhaven Club and is extremely eager to learn and evolve in
the industry.
