Jan/Feb 12' - Warm Weather

As I write this, it’s just before Christmas and the temperatures are in the 50’s.  We have been fortunate through
November and December, as the weather has yielded some pretty good golf days.  Hopefully this has helped
to boost revenue a bit, in effort to catch from some lost rounds due to wet weather through parts of 2011.

The golf course is now “put to bed” for the winter.  All of our winter preparations have been completed.  The
milder weather actually made it necessary to stay in maintenance mode longer than normal.  We continued
mowing and leaf removal well beyond what we historically are able to do.   Several small projects were able to
be completed in a timelier manner due to the good weather.

All good things must come to an end……and it WILL at some point in the near future.  It is inevitable that the
snow and cold will come….

As we progress through the winter months, we will continue work on the course as weather and conditions
permit.  We have some select tree removal planned, mostly in the form of dead/dying trees.  We will also be
doing a great deal of pruning, which will include elevating the tree canopies as needed, as well as removing
dead wood.  We hope to renovate the greenside bunker on #6, which has deteriorated a great deal due to
drainage issues.

Planning for the upcoming season is in progress, and will continue over the winter.  With the economy in the
state that it’s in, it is inevitable that we will have some financial challenges to overcome.  We are evaluating
every aspect of our operation in effort to maximize our efficiency.

The off season also presents several opportunities in the area of continuing education.  Our industry evolves
rapidly in terms of technology, regulations, etc…..  We are committed to staying current with this evolution so
we may serve you in the most efficient, effective, and financially responsible way.

Happy New Year……..
