October 11' - Putting it all back together
Putting it all back together…..

2011 has thrown everything imaginable at us…..in some cases it has left us battered and bruised, and in other
cases it has left us broken and in pieces.  As the weather subsides, the process of picking up the pieces
begins…….the restoration and recovery of lost turf.

This process has been extremely difficult to carry out, as September’s weather has continued to be very wet.
This has delayed the aeration and seeding of our trouble spots.  We will continue to address these areas as
time and conditions permit.  This process could take up to a couple of weeks to complete, as these areas
include fairways, rough, and green surrounds.

Once the seed is down, we ask that you use good judgment in regard to where you drive your cart.   The
success of these overseeded damaged areas is contingent upon minimizing traffic and compaction.  It is not
possible for me to rope these areas……they are too random.....therefore I am asking you to be aware of
where you are driving.  The alternative would be to keep carts on the path while the grass is recovering.  You
decide……

Thanks,

Charlie
